My favourite Seville hotels

A selection of my top hotels in Seville from value to luxury

I wrote several guidebooks to Seville a while back.

It's one of my favourite cities and there's a huge variety of hotels to choose from. I’ve looked around a lot of them and know many of the staff that work there. The hotels I’ve included are the best of the bunch in my opinion.

I’ve chosen them across several price brackets too. From mid-range good value to ultra-expensive.

Luxury hotels in Seville

If money is no object consider the swankiest place in town the Alfonso XIII part of the Starwood collection. But before you book, check out the Palacio de Villapanes which I think has a touch more charm and the Mercer Sevilla, a sleek, boutique bolthole with just 12 rooms.

Boutique hotels in Seville

For luxury and charm without quite such a high price tag there’s a clutch to choose from. My favourites include the Casas del Rey de Baeza and the Casa 1800, closely followed by the Casas de La Juderia or the Corral del Rey. All of them are converted historic houses and uniquely lovely.

Style hounds should maybe check out the groovy Hotel Lobby and still charming but a little cheaper with a great roof terrace, the Casa Alhaja is pretty impressive. Finally, nearby Los Seises has a really good rooftop pool.

Good value hotels in Seville

Mid-range, friendly and well located options include the Murillo and the Amadeus la Musica – a friendly, family run hotel, particularly recommended for music lovers. And cool new boutique Halo hotel is also great value.

There really is only one to recommend here. The U-Sense Sevilla Centro is run by a very old friend of mine. They have the most fantastic service and the hotel is clean, comfy and perfectly located.
